Fresh asparagus from the garden!! With the rain last week and the warm weather this weekend, you could practically watch the asparagus grow tall enough to pick this weekend. Looks like it will be a good crop this year!!
While we were out and about this weekend, we found 2 more pennies for the found money jar. That brings us to a total of .91 cents!

The asparagus looks wonderful and sitting next to Michael Constantine would be pretty cool. I loved him in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." We are always joking about putting a little Windex on it....whatever "it" happens to be at the time.
Is asparagus hard to grow? I love asparagus. I heard it take a few years for it to mature??
I love that Michael Constantine mingles among us common folks and everyone that knows who he is just respects his privacy! Kelly McGillis lives in the area too and the same thing happens to her.
The Gosselin's (Jon & Kate Plus 8)live about 2 miles from this ice cream shop. They would never mingle among the common folks.
Kasey, 8 years ago we planted 3 year roots. after 2 years in the ground, we could finally pick a few for 1 week. The next year we picked some for 2 weeks and then the following year we picked for 3 weeks. Last year was the first year we picked unbelievable amounts! It seemed to just keep coming! Looks like we will have another great year! We get enough that DH is eating it all year long from what we freeze.
It took us a while but it was a learn as you go kind of thing. I thing we finally know what we are doing with it!

Are the Gosselin's really snobs? I would never have guessed it. And it is so cool that Michael Constantine is a regular guy. We too, are always wanting to put windex on it.
I've heard that about the Gosselin's. My cousin's daughter lives down the street from them and is NOT impressed.
