This is the mountain of things we picked from the garden last weekend. We preserve some for the winter, eat some fresh and sell some at a little roadside stand at the end of our driveway. I need to make several batches of Zucchini bread this week. I have some promised to friends, for a party and i wanted to add a loaf to a meal I need to deliver for church. August 8th is "National Sneak Zucchini onto your Neighbor's Porch" night. If you live near me....... LOOKOUT!!!

Fresh from the garden, this is the beginning of a great veggie medley steamed on the grill. Add a chicken breast and you have a great meal on the cheap!

This is some of the wild berries we picked that grow on our property. We dry them in the dehydrator and then Dh uses them in his home made suet that he likes to make in late fall. He loves to give the suet to friends and family at Christmas time. We will also save some sunflower seeds and nuts to add to the suet.

And, Here are 2 zucchini bread recipes. This one is passed down from my mother. She made lots of it when I was little. We would have a few baking days and then freeze most of it to last the winter.
Zucchini Bread 1 c. brown sugar, 1c. sugar, 1c. oil, 3 eggs, 2c. grated zucchini, 1tsp b soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp baking powder, 3 c flour. Cream sugar, oil and eggs. Then add zucchini. Then add dry ingredient and mix well. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans. Bake 325 for 50 - 60 minutes Note: nuts and raisins can be added if desired.

I am sorry I did not post yesterday. I had a terrible gall bladder attack throught he night on Thursday night into Friday and ended up having my gall bladder removed yesterday. I am home now and on the mend!
