Frugal Home Improvement.....

This is my house when we moved here 9 years ago... almost to the date! I never liked the faded colonial blue trim.

We bought a can of paint for $19.99 and then mailed in a $5 rebate. DH tackled the house with the $15.99 can of paint this past weekend....

.... and we now have a white house with black trim.

What a transformation!!!! Paint is such a great tool for changing almost anything, but this was a huge project and I'm impressed with the way it turned out. It looks stunning.

awesome job! I'm thinking of doing the same to my dark green shutters and maybe the door.

Nice house!

A good covering of paint always looks nice.

And is a easy diy job, the black makes a nice contrast.

Any more home improvement or building projects planned?

Great job!

Its surprising how a lick of paint always bring the house up to scratch.

This is such a simple diy job, why pay for a builder / painter when your house can look this good!
