Another Frugal Makeover....

Last week, my DD was outside painting all the shelves from her room.

This week, we are ready to show you the final outcome. 2 cans of paint and a bed in a bag gave her this new room. I wish I would have taken a before picture! It was very pink before.

This area gives her a place to hang her purse and sweatshirt. Also, the chair will be a great place for a backpack or the next days outfit. The chair was a black and white chair I bought very cheap at an auction many many years ago.

I found some of the black frames around the house. The others used to be brown with different color mats. A little paint and they look brand new and like they were made for this room. Most still need pictures though.
DD made the curtins herself with the help of her grandmother.
This created a nice little spot for a few collections.

Oh...for the love of spraypaint! Great project! And if your DD is available I could use a little help over here...no-one really enjoys a painting project...especially a T to T project over here...stop by and see what we( well what I) am up to!

What a sweet room. Don't you love it when your kids are old enough to work on a project. I know she is proud of her work and it all is perfectly hers.

Oh, so she's out of her pink phase, huh? We're in the process of buying our first house, and I've promised my pink-crazed, 3-year-old daughter that her bedroom can be as pink as she wants it to be. I think it's going to look like a pink explosion in there! Still, I think I'll be a little bit sad when she someday decides to repaint...

Love your daughter's color choices, by the way, I'm hoping to paint my new bathroom that color, but hubby's holding out for orange. :)

Yay, no more pink. So cliche in a girls room right. Now that she is more mature she is going for that sophisticated look. Great that she is involved in the painting.
The room looks great.

I love the room. Both of my girls have always enjoyed spending time in their rooms. Making them pretty is key. Really nice job.
