A few months ago, my DH went on an email campaign. He wrote to many companies telling them what he liked and disliked about their products. He always included the upc and product codes from the package we had purchased. He would always ask for free samples or coupons and to be placed on their mailing list if they have one. The response was wonderful!
In the following weeks, coupons started pouring in. Some were for cents off the products but many were for a free item. Here are just a few......
I used them on Saturday and got all this. I did have to pay a few dollars for this pile but only because I went over the limit on some of the coupons. We will be eating pretty cheap this week!!
This weeks menu......
Monday - grilled chicken breasts, fresh asparagus from the garden, Lipton Noodle Side Dish
Tuesday - Red Baron Pizza topped with left over chicken and asparagus, spinach salad, kiwi
Wednesday - BBQ meatballs, mac and cheese, broccoli
Thursday - tuna melts, sliced apples, chips
Friday - hot dogs and left overs
Saturday - adult grill night

Wow- what a treat! So did your hubby sort of work from a template letter? I am wondering how to word things in writing to companies... What a great idea! It's wonderful that he's a partner with you in saving $$.
No template. He would start by telling the company how long we have been using their product and then continue with what he loved or disliked about the product.
Awesome! Free is best, especially for products you actually like and use!
Sounds like you got some great deals! Since you linked this to Gratituesday, would you mind please adding a link to your post back to my blog! Thanks!
I love freebies! I have started e-mailing the companies with any issues we have. They appreciate hearing from you and I have been reimbursed for things that were missing or opened.
Enjoy your "free" food :)
