I was at Target again today to pick up a prescription. DS has an ear infection. I checked out the Christmas clearance again but nothing I wanted at just 50% off. a few things I would maybe want at 75% off but I would really want them at 90% off. 75% should be sometime around New Year's day.

The day after the day after Christmas.......

Did you get to any after Christmas sales? I did not get out in the morning because I had to work but I did get to Target later in the day. I found a few gift sets to save for next year. I will probably go back when the stuff goes 75% off to get some wrapping paper. I also got to Children's Place to return these boots The Children's Place: Clothing for Kids - Product: fur-trimmed buckle boots that someone got for DD and she did not like them (they do not have a computer so I am safe saying this here!) They had great sales there too so she got a pair of sneakers, a turtle neck sweater and 4 [airs of socks for the same price of the 1 pair of boots.

Christmas Eve.....

I have been very busy enjoying some Holiday time with my family. I will be back after Christmas in full swing and with more pictures. These are called Rickety Uncles and are pretty simple to make. Here is the recipe.

1/2 cup cugar

1 cup King Molasses Syrup

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

Bring above to a boil; remove from heat.

Add: 1 cup peanut butter; stir. Then add 5 cups corn clakes; mix.

Using a Tbsp, drop onto wax paper; store in covered container.

Thursday..

Last night I made 3 more batches of cookies. The above cookies were made in a Wilton mold similar to this one... Wilton Cookie Maker English Tea Classic Cookie Mold. I was very nervous about using it since it was my first time. I used the recipe on the tray wrapper and they turned out great!! DH and the kids had a blast decorating them!!

Here are my peanut butter cookies that I made from a recipe my mom used when I was growing up. This was the first year I made the chocolate cookies. I thought they looked so cool on this blog... Party Of Seven: Cookie Recipe: Chocolate Crinkles so I had to try them DH says they are fantastic!
If you noticed my cookies are all the same size, it is because I have one of these... OXO Good Grips Cookie Scoop - PARENT to scoop them out. It saves times and is less of a mess. I love it! I also mix my batter in this... KitchenAid? Professional 600 6-Quart Mixer. Mine is black. I got it as a Christmas gift 2 years ago. It works great for cookie batter!!

Just one more thing I would like to have!!! Without power for 2 days I felt like I was living The Long Winter. There were a few differences though.. we had enough food and fire wood and the buckets of water did not have ice on them yet. Wednesday.....

My DH and DD were making some frugal Christmas ornaments as gifts for DD to give. These pinecones look great on top of a snall package!! I was busy making cookies last night. Another 2 or 3 batches tonight too.

I want this book.. it is officially on my paperback swap wish list!!!

Well, we had no power for 2 full days. I was already behind this holiday seasona nd now I am way behind!! Hopefully the weather will be good until after Christmas now. Anyone know any good deals on generators? I am in need of one!! It feels good to be warm this morning.... now I just want to remember what a shower feels like! I am heading there now.

We are preparing for another winter storm to hit us overnight. Should be more ice but also some snow and wind with this one. We have prepared to lose power again. If I have power I will be making cookies tomorrow.
