That's terrible!! does that mean you stayed home wihout power for the full two days? or were you able to stay with family? That really blows. We are in no way equipped to handle a power outage for that long and my husband also keeps talking about a generator. I would suggest checking craigslist, ebay (local pick up) and in the summer moving sales.
We live on top of a mountain and have extreme weather when off the mountain they have rain. We chose to live here. We know to prepare before a storm and sometimes prepare and never lose power. I have baby wipes to wash hands, buckets and jugs of water to flush toilets, battery operated tv and radio, lots of flash lights and candles for light and lots of blankets and a fire place to stay warm. We put some essentials in a cooler outside and grill what we want to eat. We can make it although it is a pain in the butt. This time we did go sleep at my MIL';s the first night but I had to leave my dogs home. I did not sleep well though and really just wanted to be in my own house. I appreciate her offer but there is nothing like being in your own house. Day 2 we rough out at home but left to go out to eat. It really was not as bad as it sounds... but do not ask my husband what he thought of it! LOL
Two full days without power? BRRRR
I'd pass on the Dreamlife Superstar TV Plug-In Game unless you go to Wal-Mart to get it. It's cheaper at there.
I think I will pass on the Dream Life SuperStar. I need to be done so I will be. She already has the first 2 Dream Life's so how different could this one be - right? I only do Walmart about 2 times a year and I think Sunday will be one of them. I need to buy some material to finish a pillow that DD latch hooked for her Grammy. Maybe I will check it out there. I still need to get 3 gifts too. I wanted to get 2 of those inch worms that were on sale at Amazon last week and I waited to long and now the price went up. I need to find 3 gifts for nieces and nephews.
