Tomorrow is Congenital Heart Defects Awareness Day. Most of you know that my DS was born with complex congenital heart defects and has had 4 open heart surgeries. I just want to help give you awareness for this birth defect that effects 1 in 100 babies. It is the number one birth defect. Chance are, if you do not know a child with this birth defect now, one day you will. With greater awareness, we can have better research to help us detect it sooner, correct it easier and maybe even find a cure so no other baby has to go through what my son has endured.

Our family is having a frugal Valentine's celebration tonight. In our house it is tradition to have a family taco night. When the kids come home from school we will take time to sit and look at all their Valentine's from school, have a taco dinner and then watch Charlie Brown's Valentine together. Frugal and fun for the kids.

Sunday is a great day to hit the stores for Valentine's clearance. If you have small kids, pick up clearance priced Valentine's for them to give next year. It is easier to be frugal if you plan ahead!
