Semi Home Made Soup.....

I always feel like we have the same few meals over and over again for dinner. I have been trying to come up with new ideas. Here was a recent new idea I tried. Home made (or should I say semi-home made) Broccoli cheese soup.

The ingredients...........

Simmer the veggies in the broth until they are soft enough to mash to your desired consistency.

Add the cheese and simmer until it is all melted. I let it simmer for a little to thicken too.

And there you go... easy and the main course to a nutritious meal!

Your soup looks yummy. I have been looking for a good recipe with broccoli & cheese. Maybe you'd like to add it to my Soup-er Saturday linky for others to enjoy also:)

Thanks for sharing your recipe with Tackle it Tuesday. I am glad to have found your blog.

Here's to a great Tuesday!

I call this completely homemade. It's not like I'm going to make the cheese or something:)
And I only discovered the beauty of frozen cauliflower recently. Cheap and good. I love a soup like this!

Great idea! You could probably use any cheese.

Great looking soup. I think if I added chicken to it, it would pass my husband test!

I agree! We have the same meals all the time. I'm hoping to get out of my rut soon :)

This is one of those recipes that will instantly become a "regular" in our house. Four ingredients, none of which rot or go stale while waiting to be used. I'll also add a can of pre-cooked chicken to it. LOVE it. Thanks!
