Funny....
What one could over hear at the liquor store this past weekend... "Nice Hair... ha, ha, ha...... OUCH!!" This is what my son said to the 70 year old cashier with a very bad comb over. The ouch is from me sqeezing his hand when he embarrassed me! I took him outside and promised him that I will embarrass him one day too. So bad that he will want to crawl under the sidewalk! Now you know why I drink from time to time!!
Favor.....
Some of you know and some of you do not know. My son was born with Complex Congenital Heart Defects. He had 4 open heart surgeries so far and he is 6 years old. The last time he had surgery I had a card shower for him and asked anyone I could to send him a card and pass on his address to generate more cards. He got well over 200 cards. This really brightened his day while he was home recovering.
I have a close friend that I talk to almost every day and lives about 20 minutes from me that has a 2 year old with Hyperplastic Left Heart Syndrom. He is having his 3rd open heart surgery this morning. I am trying to generate as many cards for him as possible. It does not have to be an expensive card... home made would be fine too. Just getting a pile of mail while your not feeling so well is very uplifting.
I am asking anyone who reads this, to please consider sending this little guy a card in the next 2 weeks. Pass the address on to anyone you know that would help with this. I have several friends passing the address out at their church. I will update in a few weeks with how many cards he actually recieved. Thanks for taking a moment to brighten a little boys life during a tough time!
