Wednesday....

We had yet another ice storm here in PA and school was canceled today. On one hand, I am happy DS has one less day with the idiot substitute teacher before his regular teacher comes back from maternity leave. On the other hand, my 9 year old DD woke up with a major attitude and I may have to lock her in her room!
On the way to work yesterday, my husband saw a mouse come out from under the hood of his car and sit and look at him next to the windshield wiper. That would have scared the crap out of me!! He drove a little and the mouse held on tight with his hair blowing in the wind. DH jerked his car a little and he flew off into the traffic. I guess he should have picked another car to live in... or stay hidden while the car was in motion! I drove that car the day before and am so happy it did not happen to me!!

Be careful...we had a mouse that climbed into my husband's porsche last week...we ended up having to tow it to the dealer - the mouse chewed a bunch of wires!! Luckily our insurance covered it...after the $500 deductible of course! We got a set of ultrasonic rodent thingy's from Home Depot this past weekend - apparently you plug them in to the outlet and they keep all rodents and bugs away...keep your fingers crossed that they work!

Yes, you should check for a nest under the hood. Some insurance does not cover rodent damage. Ours does not.

He checked for a nest when he got to work. All he found was a few acorns. No sign of a nest of any damage. Thank goodness. Damage was the first thing I thought of after I can out of the realization it could have happened to me the day before. I swear I would have left the car sit on the side of the road and called someone to come pick me up. LOL

LOL Carol at your comment above. That would have scared me too. But, I probably would have been like your hubby and tried to just take a quick corner to ditch the little "friend". hehe
