A few weeks ago, I told you about Stellan. This morning Stellan is going into the OR for open heart surgery. As a family with a heart child ourselves, this hit close to home. I can remember how it feels when you hand your baby over at the OR doors knowing very soon they will be relying on a heart and lung machine to keep you alive. That heart and lung machine is enough to scare the pants off of anyone just by itself. The list of side effects from just that needed machine is enough to make me cry still today. Stellan is facing a procedure that children his age do not normally face. If praying is what you do, please pray for this child. If prays are not your thing, please think some positive thoughts for him.
My children are wearing orange for Stellan today (Stellan's favorite color). We hope you will join us!
