Thursday............

Here is the pile of packages I have to mail. They are books I swapped at Paberbackswap.com and the prizes from my Blogoversary celebration. Everything will be mailed today.

In other news.... I think I have a dead mouse in my bedroom somewhere. I have searched and searched but I can not find it but the smell is killing me. We live in the country so mice are a given. We put poison in our crawl spaces and it usually does the trick. In 8 years, I have never smelled 1 dead one. Until yesterday. I really think it is either in the wall or the ceiling. UGH! Please Mr. Mouse, can you finish decomposing before bed time tonight? I think I am going to fill the room with 10 plug ins and kill the smell with air freshener. Then I will just suffocate from too much room spray scent and not dead mouse smell. Any suggestions?

I feel for ya! I had a creature - most likely a mouse - in my attic that fell down between the walls. It ended up behind the wall in my hall closet and died. As long as I kept the closet closed I couldn't smell it. My only other option would have been to tear open the wall to get to it. Needless to say - I didn't open the closet for months! It eventually finished decomposing (eeewww sorry) and went away. Good luck with yours!

Activated charcoal. It absorbs all smells. Run and get some. I know the smell you describe... eww!

where would I buy activated charcoal? and what section of the store keeps that?

We have dead rats in our walls here at work. The only candle smell that seems to hide the scent is pine candles. I know exactly how you feel.

Well, I am back from the store and spent way too much money of oil for my plug ins but if it gets me through a few nights, it will be worth it. I ahve the windows open and 4 oil plug in with apple/cinnamon scent. No pine scent to be found this time of year and the flower ones make me sneeze. Hopefully this will work for a little while at least.

Honey, you know I have lived through more than my fair share of bad smells. Don't ask me how to get rid of them. We usually just sell the house and move. Bad market for that right now though.

LOL Debbie! I have too much sweat equity invested in this house to sell because of some stupid mouse that is rotting. I will win this battle... eventually!!
